Sujata Koirala, a prominent Nepali political figure, participated in a significant forum titled “Advancing Nepal-China Cooperation Ahead of the Prime Minister’s Visit to China,” organized by the China-Nepal Friendship Forum in collaboration with the Madan Bhandari Foundation.
The event brought together diplomats, policymakers, academics, and representatives from civil society to discuss strategic areas of collaboration between Nepal and China in anticipation of the upcoming official visit by Nepal’s Prime Minister to China.
During the discussions, Ms. Koirala emphasized the importance of deepening bilateral relations based on mutual respect, shared development goals, and people-to-people connections. She highlighted the need for enhanced cooperation in areas such as infrastructure development, trade, technology, and cultural exchange.
The forum also featured remarks from senior Chinese representatives and scholars, underscoring China’s continued commitment to supporting Nepal’s development through the Belt and Road Initiative and other multilateral engagements.
