Girija Prasad Koirala Foundation, Department of Science and Technology and Research Centre for Applied Science and Technology (RECAST) Tribhuvan University (TU) agreed to enter into cooperation by signing a Letter of Agreement (LoA). The LoA signing took place at the office of the RECAST (https://recast.edu.np/), TU, Kirtipur on August 10, 2020. The LoA was signed by executive director of RECAST Prof. Dr. Rameshwar Adhikari and Director of Department of Science and Technology, GPKF, Dr. Tara P Banjade in the presence of Chairperson of Girija Prasad Koirala Foundation Hon. Sujata Koirala. The LoA is a form of mutual commitment and cooperation in research topics related to Renewable Energy, Herbal Medicine, Natural Products Utilization, Bio-Technology, Microbiology, Small Scale Food Processing, Mines and minerals, Artificial Intelligence and other applied science topics. In the ceremony Chairperson Koirala strongly said that foundation will create an environment for the young scientist and encourage them for the significant scientific research so that country may take the advantage for the development. Executive director of RECAST Prof. Adhikari said that as the Girija babu had the great contribution to resolve the conflict of the country and transform into peace, now we can advocate as SCIENCE FOR PEACE and by the collaboration between GPKF and RECAST may achieve the goal in the scientific research.
